Ice Cream Birthday Cake

This cake features WW Giant Chocolate Fudge bars. Just 3 ingredients used here. Easy to assemble and VERY delicious!


You can find and purchase the set of 6-inch cake pans I used here on Amazon: Wilton Easy Layers Cake Pan Set. Use them for any type of cake baking too.


Cake serves 6 - 8 people. 8 WW Freestyle Points for 1/6th of the cake - 6 WW Feestyle Points for 1/8th of the cake. 

Total Cook/Prep time: 24 hours with inactive time


  • 8 WW Giant Chocolate Fudge Bars
  • 6 ripe bananas
  • 1 8oz container Fat Free Cool Whip

Line five 6-inch cake pans with plastic wrap

Cut the bananas in 1/2 inch slices and place them throughout 3 of the pans 

Fill in the gaps in the pan of bananas with cool whip (each pan will use about 1/4 of the container)

Smooth the surface with a spatula so that the cool whip is flush with the rim of the pan

Place in the freezer

Fill, press and spread the remaining 2 pans with WW Giant chocolate bars. Each pan will use 4 chocolate bars each.

Smooth the surface with a spatula so that the chocolate ice cream is flush with the rim of the pan

Freeze overnight so the pans of chocolate ice cream and cool whip solidify

Assemle the layers on top of eachother by peeling off the plastic wrap and placing it on a dish. Start with one of the banana layers first. Rotate remaining layers on top of eachother.

Use remaining 1/4 container of cool whip to coat the sides of the cake.

Return to freezer until ready to serve.

To cut the cake, use a sharp, sturdy knife. For best results, apply a confident firm thrust starting from the very center of the cake (see video demonstration for specifics). The frozen bananas are somewhat harder to cut through than the ice cream so if you get jagged slices, this is normal. The cake still tastes great. :-)
